Soulful expression, instrumental virtuosity, playful banter - these are the hallmarks of an INTERSECTION event, in which the realms of concert and popular music are seamlessly dovetailed.

The typical INTERSECTION program is an irresistible blend of classical, jazz, Latin, Broadway/film music, vital new commissions, and the group's own original compositions and arrangements.

With its versatility, its engaging stage manner, and its unique mixing of trio, duo and solo formats, INTERSECTION has won a large and avid international fan base: in Japan alone, each of the group's numerous CDs and DVDs has shot to the top of the classical and crossover charts.

Ranging from a Piazzolla tango to a Jobim bossa nova, from a West Side Story melody to a gossamer Mendelssohn scherzo, an evening spent with INTERSECTION is an unforgettable one for any audience.

Join us for a very special evening of musical harmony from the Big Band era with America’s Sweethearts – a fantastic quartet led by a harmonizing vocal trio plus piano. Come along on a musical adventure to the days of the Andrews Sisters, an era of beautiful harmonies and memorable swing music  as the trio brings joy and human connections through music

The amazing women of America's Sweethearts sing the music of The Andrews Sisters. The ‘Sweets’ were founded by Carly Kincannon - an Indiana girl who came to New York City with big Broadway dreams. The moment Carly met the inspiring girls who eventually became the trio, she knew these remarkable singers were perfect for a revival of a classic musical genre.

To Quote Carly:

“The Andrews Sisters were such a huge hit, and not only because they were good looking, classy dames in the 1930s. Their music and their incredible, intricate harmonies were an inspiration in a time when there was much darkness. Our goal is to spread nostalgia, joy, and human connection through harmonies and music. I believe that this connection can span many decades, and our repertoire reflects that. The women in this group are remarkable human beings, who happen to be some of the greatest talent New York City has ever seen.”

Join us for a memorable evening to include numbers such  as: Bei Mir Bist du Schoen, Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, Don't Sit Under The Apple Tree, Tico Tico, Hold Tight - Hold Tight, Armed Forces Medley, Sentimental Journey, Get Happy, Why Do Fools Fall In Love, Cry Me A River and many more!

In 1957, Phil and Don Everly teamed up with songwriters Felice and Boudleaux Bryant to supercharge the vocal sound of Rock’n’Roll with hits such as “Bye Bye Love” and “Wake Up Little Susie”, unleashing the sparkling vocal harmonies that would influence The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, The Beach Boys, The Eagles, Peter Paul & Mary, the Bee Gees and many more.

Today, two acclaimed NYC singer-songwriters with a mind-bending three-decade age difference combine millennial pluck with baby-boomer wisdom to present The Everly Set: Sean Altman & Jack Skuller Celebrate The Everly Brothers.

Altman (Rockapella founder, Carmen Sandiego theme song composer) and guitar-slinger Skuller (ex-Disney recording artist, Songwriters Hall Of Fame “Holly Prize”) met on stage at the famed NYC tribute series "The Loser’s Lounge” in 2010 when Jack had just celebrated his 14th birthday and Sean had just celebrated his shiny new AARP card. Their December-January musical bromance blossomed in 2017, when—as a lark—they learned a bunch of Everly Brothers songs for a one-off gig in Manhattan.  Sean & Jack effectively channeled Phil & Don, and the audience effectively channeled nostalgic hysteria. Within months The Everly Set had bought the first of ELEVEN sets of matching western shirts on EBay and hit the road.

The Everly Set’s vocals and keen wit will have you singing, laughing, and dancing in the  aisles! Sean  and Jack will take you back to 1957 when teens Phil and Don Everly revolutionized the vocal  sound of Rock’n’Roll with their unique sibling harmonies. Sean and Jack will revive the vibe of Don and Phil  Everly  with many of their charted hits from 1957 to 1988 and many great stories from the brothers successful careers.

Miss Myra and The Moonshiners are a formidable 5-piece swing band bringing a fresh female-driven perspective to traditional New Orleans and hot club jazz, playing a broad repertoire of classic tunes from the ‘20s and ‘30s and inspired originals. With powerful vocals, a smoking horn section, and sweet rhythm, they are guaranteed to lift spirits and fill the dance floor.

Miss Myra is a threat on every level.  Her golden voice will bring you from rock bottom to ecstasy and back while her driving guitar rhythm holds the Moonshiners together. Her style of hard hitting swing guitar is reminiscent of Django Reinhardt. She also draws influence from legendary blues guitarists such as Leadbelly and Blind Boy Fuller. If you let her near a piano, you'll hear virtuosity from ragtime to Lizst.  In addition to her musical talent, she is known for lighting up the dance floor with traditional American jazz dances such as lindy hop, charleston and blues.

Nathan Berry - Brings an infectious enthusiasm to the stage, singing harmonies and leading the horn section with swinging cornet melodies and New Orleans tailgate trombone. He also performs regularly with the Afro-Cuban group Malamanya.

Sam Skavnak - A virtuoso devotee of traditional jazz, "Silky" Sam rounds out the Moonshiner's horns with his ever tasty clarinet and baritone sax stylings.

Michael Carvale - Heavily influenced by traditional jazz and blues bassists, Michael has performed all over the world. He has toured with such artists as Gunhild Carling, CW Stoneking and Pokey LaFarge.

Beth Varela - Beth studied film scoring at Berklee School of Music and completes the band's swinging rhythm section. She is a music educator specializing in percussion, piano and cello.
